School Bullying Prevention Training

Our school bullying prevention training complies with amendments to the Education Act and calls upon our extensive experience working with school boards. The consequences of school bullying are severe but identifying such behaviour can be challenging, even though the new amendments provide definitions of bullying and cyber-bulling. In today’s education sector, it’s essential to understand how to recognize bullying, and to know both teacher and administrator obligations in dealing with bullying activity and complaints, including a principal’s obligation to investigate and what that should entail.

As a consequence of the Accepting School Act, which came into force September 1, 2012, Ontario school boards now must establish and provide annual professional development programs to educate teachers and other staff about bullying prevention training and strategies for promoting positive school climates. We are available to ensure school boards meet these new obligations.
